About me...
I'm a West Yorkshire based dog walking & training business which was founded in February 2023. I understand how hard it can be to trust someone else with your pets, as I have made the mistake of trusting the wrong professionals with my own dogs. But I want you to know you can trust me, your pets will be treated with so much love and respect while they are in my care and I will love them as wholeheartedly as you do.
Me
As you may already know, I'm Harriet, the owner of Killerby K9's. I live in Leeds with Barnie, my Lhasa Apso x Poodle, Seven, my Belgian Malinois, Navy, my Cane Corso cross and my two tortoises, Poppy and Stanley. I grew up in Austhorpe, Leeds with my older brother and our parents. When I was little I wanted to be a zookeeper or a pet shop owner but funnily enough when I did grow up my jobs were office jobs, mainly as a payroll administrator which I enjoyed but it wasn't my dream. One day, I realised why am I not pursuing my dream because life is too short. So, I quit my job and started this business.
Experience
Volunteering -
I volunteered at RSPCA from April 2022 to December 2023, walking the dogs in their care. This experience was eye opening and it allowed me to experience many difficult dogs, behaviours and temperaments meaning there is not much I can't handle.
Mentorship -
In February 2024 I completed a week in-person mentorship with the extremely talented dog trainer Emma at Raven K9 and felt like I only scratched the surface resulting in starting the 6 month online mentorship in March 2024. I have absolutely loved gaining the knowledge from Emma to help me to become a better dog handler and thankful for all the people I have met along the journey.
